The Irish were looking for revenge against the Wildcats in the second matchup of the season between the teams after Eagan defeated Rosemount 3-1 in the Cats home opener. Despite the advantage of a raucous home crowd, the Irish would be disappointed again as they went scoreless against a tough fighting Eagan squad.
The teams went scoreless for more than half the game until sophomore forward Keegan Johnson ripped one in the upper corner on a 2 on 1 rush. The Cats would take a 1-0 lead into the 3rd period. Late in the game, Nick Sherek put in an empty netter to seal the victory for Eagan.
Brandon Touissant had a shutout with 24 saves in a great showing in the nets.
