The Wildcats pulled off an overtime win against the Shakopee Sabers with a final score of 2-1. It was an action-packed finish after a seemingly lack luster game. Shakopee received a delay of game penalty as the goalie intentionally knocked the net loose stopping play. With only 33 seconds remaining in overtime, the Eagan Wildcats were awarded a penalty shot as there was not enough time in the game to serve the full delay of game penalty. Jonny Meiers scored on a sweet backhand to forehand move. Meiers had the two goals for the Wildcats. This is the third overtime game in two weeks for the Wildcats - with the Wildcats pulling off their first win. The Eagan Wildcats take on Duluth Marshall at home at 3pm on Saturday.
