The Boston Bruins hold the NHL record for most shots on goal with 73 shots against the Quebec Nordiques on March 21, 1991.  The Eagan Wildcats came close on Monday, with 63 against Hopkins.   The Bruins ended up losing the 1991 game to the Nordiques in an OT shoot-out.  Lesson - it does not matter how many shots - those shots need to get in the goal.   The Wildcats pulled off a win against Hopkins 4-1.   Connor Delmonico had his first varsity goal with an assist  by Nicholas Krahn.  Jonny Meier scored 2 goals followed by a sweet shot from behind the goal by Aiden White.

The Wildcats face the Jefferson Jaguars on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the championship game of the South St. Paul Tournament.   Last year, Hastings defeated the Wildcats in the championship 4-3 despite 42 shots on goal by the Wildcats.   Shots need to be in the goal this afternoon!
